Our Impact
At Mapletree, we believe that thriving, resilient and sustainable communities are those that invest in their younger generations. We are determined to make a humble contribution towards helping children and the youth. We do this through Foundations & Finishes NPC - a charity founded by our CEO, Ms Isabella Makuta. We support various initiatives that ensure young people have access to quality education and opportunities to develop their skills so that they can fulfil their career ambitions.
Early Childhood Development (ECD)
Giving our little children a solid educational foundation.
We support ECD centres with world-class infrastructure, resources, and nutrition while also enriching educators' skill sets in these centres.
We support ECD centres with an integrated solution at Grade R level.ie.: Improvement of learners’ language, mathematics, science, and technology skills
Decent classroom Infrastructure Teacher professional development Health & Nutrition support.
We provide support to underprivileged students at tertiary level who are unable to complete their studies and help them cross the finishing line. We provide: Financial assistance to these students to complete studies, focusing on female students in business & technical professions from previously disadvantaged communities.
Training Workshops & Mentorship: Life Skills -Bootcamps & leadership development sessions to impart critical skills that will prepare them for the world of work.
Sponsors/Mentors :Linking the students with experienced business people to mentor them.
Getting a period is a normal part of life, but for many female learners it can cause great inconvenience, frustration, and embarrassment – especially if it starts unexpectedly at school. Research reveals the alarming statistics and impact this has on the girl child retention in schools and completion.
Many girls are unable to attend school every month during menstruation, as they cannot affort sanitary pads. Mapletree has partnered with the Ntombi Project to ensure that girls stay in school, through donating sanitary pads to communities and schools on a regular basis.
